I'm a newbie here. I've asked for help out with some Mp3s and have gotten said help.

I feel bad because I haven't contributed or swapped with anyone yet. I've had no specific requests.

However, I thought I'd link here to some groovy tracks. I will continue to throw 2 or 3 songs up here from time to time.

First off, here are 4 cuts from Some Bizarre's "If You Can't Please Yourself You Can't Please Your Soul" compilation from 1984.

(I'm using www.mytempdir.com as I don't know how to upload to YouSendIt yet...I think the files stay longer here.)

Hope this works and hope you enjoy. Tracks are:

262264= Cabaret Voltaire: Product Patrol
262266= Psychic TV: Twisted
262270= The The: Flesh and Bones
262273= Coil: The Wheel

GREAT compilation! I bought it back in the day mainly for the Coil track but I also love Marc Almond's "Love Amongst The Ruined" and the Foetus track "The Only Good Christian Is A Dead Christian."

Sweet cover art too:

Sorry it's taken me so long to add more.

I've mentioned The Screamers a few times on this board. Alot of you likely are familiar with them, but for those who aren't, yer missing out.

Though they never recorded any "official" albums there are lo-fi demo tapes and live gigs floating around. Jello Biafra of the DKs claimed they were the best of the early California puink bands.

They also were among the first to adopt a truly alternative stance, doing away with guitars altogether and keeping it to drums, vox and two distorted synths.

Lead singer Tomata Du Plenty was one of the great frontmen of all time. He passed away a few years ago.

Anyways, hope you enjoy (sorry about the sound quality, but as I say, all that's left of the band's recorded legacy are ?th-generation cassette dubs on bootleg vinyl and CD...)

In order, the tracks are:
1) 122 Hours of Fear
2) Matar Dolores
3) Vertigo

PS-- hope it's cool to use mytempdir.com instead of yousendit.com

I haven't figured out how to u/l to yousendit without just sending the file to an email address.

I do think the mytempdir.com files stay up longer, but I just encountered an ad screen there for the first time. I've never known it to be pop-up happy though.

FYI: All you need to do with yousendit is put your email in the destination address then upon receiving the confirmation message, copy and paste the link to your post.
That's it! [;)]
