Great tracks. Very cool to see Cleaners from Venus, since I just read Lost in Music by Giles Smith which is a somewhat fictional account of his attachment to music and includes the Cleaners ( I thought they were fictional until today). Seems he really was a member and included them in this book. It's a good read - lots of insight to the music world in the 80s.

This is from Cherry Red's site which offers the whole CD:
Cleaners from Venus - Founded by Wivenhoe's Renaissance man, Martin Newell, the Cleaners were initially Martin and one Lol Elliot on drums. Later, after Lol left to live on Venus permanently, a young local chap approached Martin with a song he'd written and soon found himself one half of the new line up. This man was Giles Smith who is now a much-respected author and has written the best-selling book “Lost In Music” which focuses on this period in his life

I have that Lilac Time CD - I still find it hard to believe Stephen Tin Tin Duffy was a member of this group, the music is so different from his earlier solo stuff.
