Would anyone be able to help a brother out?? Been trying to track down these songs but have struck out. Any help appreciated, thanks!

The 4 of Us – Drag My Bad Name Down (not the live version that can be found on their website)

Aku-Aku – No Expression

Auto Da Fe – All is Yello (Hot Hot Hot)

Bob & Bob – We Know You’re Alone (was played on Dr Demento’s show)

Bonzo Goes to Washington – 5 Minutes (is this the Ramones?)

Curtie & the Boom Box – Let’s Talk It Over in the Ladies Room

Fee – CIA

Go Fundamental – People on the Top Floor

Another fellow WLIR, um, nerd!

I submit the following:

Curtie and the Boombox
http://s43.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3SE0 ... 43AC4L9N1E

Go Fundamental
http://s43.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3RYS ... TIOQQHUBO2

Bonzo Goes to Washington
http://s43.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3O2C ... 94AFYB3SUR
Not the Ramones. You'll probably recognize the song when you hear it.

If you find any of the others, run, don't walk, to your computer and send them to me, or post them. Very hard to find, those.

The Ramones did "Bonzo Goes To Bitburg (My Brain Is Hanging Upside Down)"...Probably where the confusion lies!

Yes, Neil Hooper was the singer. When I knew him he lived in Long Beach (on Long Island) He was (and I'm sure still is) a real nice guy.

Man all these forgotten WLIR deep cuts! Kewel![8D]
Thanx for the memories everyone!

And Thank YOU Marie, I got that track you sent.
Aku Aku, Wow.. I remember them getting plugs on WLIR for local gigs back in the day. So you 'knew' the leadman eh?

Ahh.. Long Beach... Dunes.. breezy summer nights on the boardwalk..
Lived there in the West End from '93 - '01 (Party Hardy!) [}:)][;)]

That song is quite different from the only Aku Aku song I have, "The Night belongs to Charlie".

You guys are the BOMB!!!! Thanks ever so much....

I didn't know he was down in LB, I'll have to look for him on the line at Waldbaums, lol.

2Nu, I hate to berak this to you, but Chauncy's is long gone, along with many livers. Still a few places to to toss 'em down though. Let the good times roll.

[/quote]I was one of those West Enders that was VERY HAPPY to see Chauncey's gone.

Funny I recall there was another gin mill called Arizonas that was on the next block over (Arizona & Oceanview).

I believe the same owners opened up another watering hole (Arizona II) out on eastern LI after the LB building went condo.

I lived on Nebraska right behind 'The Backyard - Tikki Bar'.

BTW: Times were much better there when it was 'Docksiders' (run by Tim and John)
