Hi vamps,
I remember hearing this group also--albiet from a friend who used to live in CA. I will start looking for some songs from them, but in the meantime, here are a couple links. They were Tracy Thorn from Everything But the Girl's first band ! So yes, they're British:

Here's a song from "The Indie Scene - 1982" I had laying around. It's called "On My Mind" by Marine Girls. Not my cup of tea but someone might like to have it:

WOW!! thanx KYYX4ever, this is really cool. amazing how a band will spawn into another, thank you soo much for the fantastic link I have always wondered what had happened to "Marine Girls" they had a mellow catchy tune.I have always liked them but could never find anything off of them. I remember hearing them when I was just a fresh 14yrs old and now as of today I am a fresh 39! and the few songs Iv'e had the pleasure of hearing left me enthralled for more.
