Thanks! I saw them when they opened for Flesh for Lulu, and they were great. I only knew one song at the time- "Miss Amanda Jones", but they had some other songs WLIR would play.

Yeps Turn To The Sky is my favorite, it appears in the soundtrack of the movie Some Kind Of Wonderful, I have both the VCD and the CD eheheh. Then Snake Dance, Walk Into The Sun, Lights Go Out, Grooving In Green from the album Botanic Verses. Let's hope that more material will be released.

I only remember hearing Turn to the Sky on WLIR. But The Deep is a favorite of mine.

"Miss Amanda Jones" is a Rolling Stones cover from the Some Kind Of Wonderful soundtrack. I've got most of the Violets stuff on vinyl (multiple copes of some, if anyone is interested in trading vinyl). I was a big fan of Simon D.'s post-Violtes band The Batfish Boys as well. Kinda swampy biker metal, with a weird twist on it.
