The Arrows

Postby 1980-F » Mon Feb 06, 2006 1:49 pm

Hi to all Canadians here!

One of my favourite Canadian bands are The Arrows. I have their albums "Stand Back" and "The Lines Are Open" both on vinyl and on CD (A Compilation named "Best of Arrows" contained all tracks of the two albums except of one.)
I've found a discography on the internet telling of an EP named "Misunderstood" from 1981, two other songs from the same year on a compilation named "Toronto Calling" and a remix of the 1985 song "Talk Talk". I'd be very grateful, if someone could provide some of these tracks.

Are there any B-sides or extended versions?

Sorry... can't help you. I'd like to get my hands on those songs as well.

Until you mentioned it, I never really noticed that they left Hampton Avenue off of the "Best Of" CD!! I've got it as well and never noticed one missing, only the different track order from the original Stand Back cassette.

As far as remixes, there's a "Hot Dog Mix" of I Owe You out there. I think the only place I ever saw it was on a volume of Munich City Nights. Interestingly enough, that series contained many rare Canadian songs from the 80s.

I assume this isn't the same Arrows with Alan Merrill and who originally did "I Love Rock And Roll"
