Ahh the Golden age of Video lot's of mist, slow motion walking horses and splashing water oh the days.I think one of may favorites that was cool but from todays perspective makes no sense, was. Art of Noise-Close to the Edit. A little mascara from hell wearing punk dressed 8 year old and a Brass section walking down the train tracks with a Dachsund feeding it weiners...What the ???

Consider the dafodil, and while you're doing that. I'll be over her going through your stuff.

My Top 3 (After Buggles of course)

1. Swords Of A Thousand Men by Tenpole Tudor (I know it was meant to be a spoof video but the age of men in suits of armour was long gone even in the 80's)
2. Touchy by A-Ha (Awful video shot in a swimming pool wit

How about New Order's heavy metal hair band motif in "Touched By the Hand of God"?

Just about any video by DEVO would qualify I guess. One video in particular that comes to mind is "Once In A Lifetime' by Talking Heads. Loved that "wavy" effect, and David Byrne bent over doing some spastic moves.

2. Mutated masks along with red vinyl smocks jumping out of donuts.

depeche mode's "leave in silence" highly entertains me. it's strange. you can watch it on http://archives.depechemode.com/video/m ... index.html. the weird ball bouncing and the different colors--funky stuff. :)

All of you are right, each one of us has a list of favorites videos of those fantastic days. Mine (not necessarily goofy ones) would be:

- Siouxie ("Swimming horses")
- XTC ("Senses working overtime")
- Cure ("The caterpillar")
.

I've always enjoyed watching Talk Talk's "Such A Shame" video. Nothing fancy here except Mark Hollis making funny faces while he's singing one hell of a serious song. Great facial expressions!

Another goofy but well done video is New Order's "True Fa
