Did anyone else see the first MTV music video? You know, the Buggles...Video Killed the Radio Star?

I remember 7th or 8th grade at my friends house waiting for the cable to start MTV. That was when they actually played music...and the guy on the moon...

Their other video "Plastic Age" is even weirder than Video Killed the Radio star.

which kind of leads into the early art of noise videos, they were bizzarre too.Close to the edit with the punk kid on the train tracks making the cutting motion with her hand and the dog eating a string of hot dogs and the brass ensemble cutting their hor

Chuck Statler, the director of alot of DEVOs videos, comes into my workplace alot. We just made a compilation tape of a bunch of his videos; DEVO, Elvis Costello, Madness, Graham Parker, etc.

Chuck's a nice guy and really seems shocked at the awe and

yes i do remember, i was about 6 yrs. old in 1981. i was living in houston texas at that time (well i still live in houston now). but anyways back then we didn't have cable (MTV) but we had a local tv station named "HIT VIDEO U.S.A" witch was on channle
