Kind of a trip. Back in 81 or so when they first appeared on my radar screen, I remember being startled that they had so many albums already.

Funny, I had the same thought, by the time I bought "Whomp That Sucker" I think they had released like 15+ albums, maybe more, same thing with Split Enz, I thought "True Colours" was their first release... probally all due to radio stations never playing Sparks or Split Enz before new wave really took off, and the KROQs of the world broadcasted these artists.

The Sparks were the first out- of- the- mainstream band I got into. 9th grade about 1975 a friends' brother had all the Sparks lp's up to that point, then I think Big Beat came out and they appeared in the disaster movie Rollercoaster. After No.1 in Heaven they were always hit or miss for me. The only time I saw them was on the Angst in My Pants tour.
