The Police - Don't Stand So Close to Me

Postby NewWaveKid » Mon Apr 18, 2011 9:15 am

I've got a question for all of you Police fans!
Which version of "Don't Stand So Close to Me" do you prefer? The original version? Or perhaps the 1986 version? I prefer the '86 version, I like the way Stings voice sounds in this one. But then again, I've never really been a big Police fan.

Why would anyone pick anything but the original. This was a song that didn't need to be re-made.

Hm, I suppose that is true, though I thought it was neat to see the new remake. Either way, I like both versions [:)]

I would sooner they remade almost any Sting solo song into something good.

I prefer the 86 version, but they're different songs that have the same lyrics. It's a shame that the two have to be compared. it's like comparing the original Propaganda line-up and the 1234 line-up.
