Rock of the 80s television series

Postby tikibars » Tue Jan 01, 2013 5:09 am

Hi

Continuing to dig through my VHS archives (see my post from November), I came across some partial episodes of a tv series called Rock of the 80s. Each episode began with a sexy girl getting out of bed, getting dressed, and driving her BMW to a club, while "Never Say Never" by Romeo Void played. Then, at a club called The Palace, bands would play. The stage rotated, so after each three-song set, one band would rotate away from the audience while the next one spun on in. The episode I have (part of) featured Human League, Icicle Works, INXS, and Joe Ely.

I found a clip from the show by Oingo Boingo on YouTube, but I can't dig up any info or other clips of info on this series, I don't even remember what network aired it... probably Showtime or HBO, I'd guess.

Anyone have any insight, be it background info or further episodes?

thanks

I can't help you with the info, but I surely would like to see the Human League. Any chance you could upload that video or their performance bit on that show?
