DVD's I'd like to see

Postby unguarded moment » Thu Apr 08, 2004 12:49 am

These are some DVD video compilations I'd like to see issued:

The Church (Goldfish, Magic, Souvenirs expanded to included ALL of their videos)
OMD (I heard it's in the works)
XTC (under consideration but I wouldn't hold your breath)
Siouxsie & The Banshees (in the works)
The Go-Betweens
Hoodoo Gurus
A Flock of Seagulls
10,000 Maniacs
Altered Images
Aztec Camera
Boomtown Rats (did they make that many videos?)
Depeche Mode (early stuff mostly; I know there's a DVD out there called "Some Great Video 81-85 but I think it's a bootleg)
Duran Duran (I'd like to see a condensed, one-disc version that contains only earlier stuff, like 1979-1984, and with a cheaper price!)
Elvis Costello
The Go-Go's (yes, I realize they only made a few, but it would be nice to have 'em all)
Magazine (how many videos DID they make?)
Mental as Anything
The Members
Modern English
Nick Lowe
Psychedelic Furs (like the Depeche DVD I think this may be a bootleg, not official)
R.E.M. (ALL of their videos, not just the latter ones that is available now)
Railway Children
Robyn Hitchcock & The Egyptians
Tears For Fears (comprehensive, not just a select few that is available now)
Thomas Dolby (did he make any videos for "Golden Age of Wireless?")

I think everyone on this chatboard is dying to see OMD release their dvd. I have an incredible video conversion of the Flock of Seagulls on dvd. I have 3-4 videos on dvd by the Boomtown Rats; Banana Republic, Up All Night, I Don't Like Mondays, and Dave

Sounds like "The Story of the Boomtown Rats" is in the works. Check Bob's website.

The latest issue of ICE lists a 10,000 Maniacs DVD collection, due out by the end of May.
