Iggy Pop Live in San Fran 1981

Postby Borneojimy » Thu Jul 28, 2005 2:53 am

Has anybody seen this DVD yet? I just picked up a copy & it's awesome! This was recorded on the "Party" tour. I always thought that LP was kinda weak, but live the material sounds great. Clem Burke from Blondie really shows his stuff on drums here & there are 3 guitarists: Rob Duprey, Carlos Alomar & Gary valentine. Lots of stuff that isn't usually on any of the live Iggy Cds either like "Dum Dum Boys", "Some Weird Sin", "I'm A Conservative", etc... Now I just wish somebody would find some footage from the "Soldier" tour.

I had/have this on VHS. Pretty good show. Does the DVD have the text on the bottom of the screen like the videotape does?

The text is there, but it's almost off screen, so it's not too bad. I think all the target videos that I've seen have this. It's usually such great stuff that I can deal with it. By chance have you seen the Devo Live 1980 that they are advertising? Wondering if it's worth it.

Just saw that iw was available (the DEVO disc). I haven't seen it yet but I'll probably grab it as soon as I come across it. DEVO 1980, gotta be better than the other 2 live dvds that have come out.
