I only remember part of the chorus - "we made the grade" (or something similar). I know it was an 80's new wave song because I remember it from WLIR. Thanks.

Thanks!!! You guys are amazing - you nailed it even with the misheard lyrics. They were indeed singing "we fade to grey". Cool 80's new wave song.
