This song got some radio play on the new wave/alternative stations around 1990/91. The lyrics from the chorus I remember are "There goes [my/your] heart" and "the ___ goes down, the ____ goes down" - it had a jangly guitar sound and a male vocalist. I guess it was an English band. Thanks.
