Nothing better than hearing an old favorite after many years. Yesterday I heard "I Beg Your Pardon" from Kon Kan, but now it's got me thinking of another club song from around the same time. This is embarrassing because I don't know what they're saying. Something like:

da-da-da-da jestro(?)
da-da-da-da jestro
get it on

So I spent hours last night trying to find this song stuck in my head. I scoured this site and AMG. Thought I had it with Grandmaster Flash but no, wide left. Thought I had it with Din Daa Daa but no, wide right.

I know what I gave was not much to g

I think it was "on the left Joe"
I heard in a club in NYC Spring 1984.
I don't know who or proper title.
