Welcome to the new forum!
If you are a previously registered user, you must do the following:

1) Click on 'I forgot my password' at the login prompt
2) Enter your username and email you registered with and submit
3) You will receive an email with an activation link. Please click it and then log in using the random password provided
4) Go to your User Control Panel and click on the Profile tab
5) Click on 'Edit Account Settings' and enter your new password twice followed by the random password provided earlier. Click Submit.
6) That's it...you're back in! You may have to log in again with your new password.

Where can I find playlists for KROQ from 82-85?

(Yes, those were MY high school years-- desperately tuning in a scratchy KROQ from behind the Orange Curtain.)

You got 'em. I think the talk here before was that those weren't necessarily their playlists but rather the end-of-year fan-voted countdown. So it's going to be both skewed toward the end of the year songs and prone to some generic normalization via the v

Actually my memory serves me well and these songs were the songs generally played back then. The more obscure songs came from "Rodney on the Roq" show, which Rodney Bingenheimer was the frontman to feature acts like The Ramones, Blondie, Nina Hagen, Buzzc

You know, maybe my memories are over-romaticizing the KROQ past. I pulled up my new wave song list and compared it to the combined Countdown songs from 80-86, and there really isn't a lot missing. Upon review, I stand corrected. But yuck, just the thought
