Relatively popular song but vague description

Relatively popular song but vague description

There's a children's chorus in P.O.D.'s "Youth of the Nation" that sings the "We are" part and it sounds remarkably like a vox riff from an old 80's song but I just can't remember the title, artist, or even much else from that 80's song.

Might be a longshot but could anyone help?

we are we are we are....

Sounds like it COULD be from 'Whisper to a Scream' by the Icicle Works..I'm only slightly familiar with the POD song.

The song is garbage but the line in question does have a kind of Tears For Fears vibe.

Whisper to a Scream isn't it but wow... I can't believe I'd totally forgotten that song! I hunted down a clip of it and somewhere in the back of a my head a few braincells shook the dust off and started dancing [:D] Thanks for reintroducing me to that one

i don't know the song you mention, but since you mentioned Tears For Fears, it could be The Way We Are, a single released between the Hurting and Songs From The Big Chair albums.

When I mentioned Tears For Fears I just meant that the chorus (however brief) of the P.O.D. song reminded me of them, not of any TFF song in particular..
