sounds like new order

sounds like new order

Hello new wavers,

I have a fragment of a lyric from a song I heard on college radio back in the late 80's.
It's not much to go on, but here it is:

"(You) hurt me, for the last time....(oh no no) girl"
there is 1 measure rest after "hurt me." I think this may have been the chorus too.

The vocals were distinctly deep, barratone and mostly monotone and the music was reminicent of the song "Confusion" from New Order, although much slower tempo. (probably would be hard to dance to) The song finished with a New Order-ish sounding guitar, reminicent of the simple 1-string plucking from Low Life.

Any cues???
