i heard a song in a shop and the last line was "I'm on my way" then it finished with a great guitar solo. ( it was'nt the proclaimers)

Or Catherine Wheel's Waydown? "I'm on my way...down...I'm on my way..." Lots of guitars, not new wave but kinda in the same vein.
