Split Enz track...maybe?

Split Enz track...maybe?

One of the malls here in the Syracuse area plays New Wave on the Muzak--strange and cool, I know. Not 80s music, either, but real New Wave, all the time. Anyway, not long ago I was walking through and heard a song I knew I never heard before but was sure it was Split Enz...or so I thought. I can't find this song anywhere!

Lyrics that I can remember are: "We're driving, we're driving/Got my foot on the accelerator..."

That's all I can remember! The lead vocal sounded just Tim Finn, too. Can anyone offer any help?

The song has got to be "Drivin'", originally by Pearl Harbor and the Explosions. Perhaps you heard a cover.

Thanks!!! Hearing this up close makes it easier to hear that the lead is a female voice. In a mall, straining to hear it in the background made it sound like one of the Finn brothers. Must be the Australian contingent. Anyway, thank you so much for rendering this mystery solved!!!
