Around 1983 or 1984, in Florida, my friend bought a discounted new wave LP. I remember a song on it with the line "attention all you k-mart shoppers, fill your carts." There may have been something about blue-light specials too. Possibly the song "Dear John" was on the same album (not sure about that).

Only recently discovered they even did a mini-feature of the Happy Hour album. You can really tell the Wall of Voodoo, Gleaming Spires, Sparks influences...
