Female 80s wave w/harp (!) "she's poisonous"

[solved] 80s(?) wave w/harp (!) "she's poisonous"

Postby daydreamer » Mon Jan 17, 2011 6:18 am

Well that's what I get from it.
Always this "she's poisonous".

Wonderful darkish track.

I think blues harps are very unusual in new wave / post-rock tunes.
I thought of Family Fodder, but it seemingly wasn't them.

UPDATE
Resolved as

SWELL "It's Okay" (1992)

Hi.
Maybe it's:

She poisoned herself.

She poisoned...

Herself...

Oh, another discovery from this whispering unintellegible voice?

Maybe you're right. Will relisten soon...

You don't have a longer excerpt do you? This track seems to be really very good.

Sorry no, I haven't.

Thanks for the appreciation - yes in particular for you, it must be feeling a little refreshing considering that plethora of disco stuff spread elsewhere (which actually is a bit OT, to say the least) ;)

:o)

I have downloaded the bit and will try my best to find out about it. Can you be sure it's 80-82?

New link as Zshare's one has gone down the drain: http://www13.zippyshare.com/v/79445328/file.html

A friend told me that this is the band SWELL http://www.discogs.com/artist/Swell but the track was wrong. After listening to some SWELL tracks it seems quite possible that this one is by them, but now we have to find the song name amongst a pretty extensive discography... Someone can help?
