Alright kids. As said the sailor with the wheel attached to his crotch, it's driving me nuts. I remember a song from way back that I can't figure out. I thought it was a mix of 'Love is a Stranger' by Eurythmics, but now I don't think so. Slapped together what I remember on FruityLoops, just what I remember, and hopefully is enough to jog someone's memory:

OK here's another one. Nobody knows what the second song on one of the 'Vintage KROQ' tapes is. It boasts the repeated refrain 'I'm living in the perfect world' but an internet search on that turned up nothing. Anybody know? Take a listen:

This sounds like the band Ne1 from San Diego. The music itself, especially the horns, sounds very similar. I can't tell of it's the same vocalist because the guy just talks through the song instead of singing. Good luck finding it if it is Ne1.

Strange song! Style reminds me of "Yello". There are even some citates from the german issue of the bible "Nur wer im Lebensbuch des Lammes steht wird eingehen dürfen" und something with "geweihte Menschen".
It's possibly a german speaking artist. According to the other tracks the release year might be around 1987.

I agree, the overall sound is similar but I don't think it's them. There's a handful of clips on the 'Tube for NE1 and they seem a bit more ska. Plus it's all white guys whereas in the song I posted I think the main singer is black.

Perhaps Drew the Engineer can help us with this one. Is he still around?

I would never in a million years have thought that this song was Czukay. The only other song I've heard by him is "How Much Are They" and it sounds nothing like "Perfect World". I guess wonders never cease.
