Song ID: Similar to Bowie's Space Oddity, help pls

This week I heard a song on XM's First Wave. I dont remember what date, so I cannot look up the song's name. It had a male singer, song content was about an astronaut about to leave for a mission. Classic new wave sound. I had heard it before in the 80s. Any ideass? Thanks
