Monkey Modern Man

Monkey Modern Man

Postby eighties » Sat Apr 30, 2011 3:26 am

Looking for artist and title of this song possibly from 1982 - 1983

Lyrics:

"He's a monkey monkey monkey modern man.
He's a monkey monkey monkey modern man.
He came out of the jungle with a master plan.
Invented the umbrella and the garbage can.
He's a monkey monkey monkey modern man."

The video had one guy wearing shades. I picture him as Rick Okasek but I know it wasn't Okasek OR The Cars. There was no monkey, there was no chick, just one guy wandering through back alleys singing about monkey monkey modern man.

Thanks!

All the best,
eighties

All I know is that the "monkey monkey monkey modern man" didn't invent the umbrella, Terry Wibbley did.
