Sexy 80s "talking over music" track [solved]

Sexy 80s "talking over music" track [solved]

Postby t0rgo » Sat Feb 11, 2012 10:24 am

I had an old recording on cassette (yeah, old school) from KQAK (maybe KITS) from the late 80s in the SFBay area that I lost. It was a woman having a sexy conversation with some guy on the phone, and you only hear her side of it. It was a typical guitar/bass/drum jam from mid to late 80s, but it ends in her having an orgasm on the phone. At the time it was cool, but now it might be really cheesy. I only remember hearing it two or three times on the air, and I recorded it the last time. It would never make it on the air these days since the audio was titillating.

Anyway, does anyone remember this obscure track?

If you recorded it, please consider digitizing and uploading it so we can hear it. :)

That's the problem. I wrote in my post that I lost the tape. Otherwise I wouldn't have posted this.

Not the track, but thanks for mentioning that one. I've never heard it before.

Still not it, but another good suggestion. I didn't know about that track either.

The track I remember is like a slowed-down Plimsouls instrumental with a sexy chick on the phone. It wasn't heavy on synths, mostly chorus guitar, bass, and drums.

Damn, I went through my last box of old tapes and it wasn't in there. Maybe it was lost during my move last year. Any other help is greatly welcome.
I remember the woman on the track asking the guy to take off his pants, and then she really gets into the act. I remember it being pretty cool, especially for the time. It definitely wouldn't get any airplay these days with the church pretty much running he airways. You can't even say slut, whore, or goddamn on the radio anymore. That's one of the main reasons I switched to Sirius satellite radio many years ago.

Just a bump to see if anyone else has any suggestions. I still can't find the damn cassette. I hope this isn't a case of my memory of the song being much better than the real thing...

Possibly "Taste so Good" by File 13?

Another possibility could be "Confessions of Autoerotica" by Scott Devries.

Not the right one, but thanks for posting. I forgot all about that one. I remember it getting a fair amount of airplay in the SF Bay Area.

I'm still trying to find this one online to verify it.

Merry xmas, this is a song called, "User Friendly" by The Flying Tigers. Btw it has a very cool surf style guitar so it's not just "basic" guitar at all.

I have it on a tape. It's pretty rare. My copy has some pops in it because the vinyl record did, when it was recorded to tape.

I can upload it possibly but if you find a cleaner version now that you know the name, please send that my way as well. If not I could probably upload it for you. Maybe you have something equally good to trade?

I like anything that has a combo of, surf/porn/party music/80s/hardcore beach punk/electro-wave.

Anything macho/arrogant and un-pc would be preferable. Thanks

Neon Surfer
