Sexy 80s "talking over music" track [solved]

Postby t0rgo » Sun Aug 19, 2012 4:54 am

Cool man, that sounds like it could be it. I guess it was a surf guitar riff.
I did an exhaustive internet search including the usenet and came up snake eyes. I would love a digitized copy if you have the time (especially a good quality conversion). I don't know if I have much to trade compared to the serious collectors here, but I can send you a list if you want to browse it. Just PM your e-mail.

Nope, I wish it did. Maybe neon surfer will have a chance to digitize it from his tape someday.

I still come up snake eyes looking for "User Friendly" by The Flying Tigers.

He's right, it is rare.

There is a reference on Discogs.

The track is called: User Friendly (Phone Sex)

Maybe it's a remix version with the phone sex part added?

Still looking...

It's a pretty obscure one according to "neon surfer". Hopefully he will reply back.

Still no luck finding "User Friendly (Phone Sex)" by The Flying Tigers.

I searched the known interwebs and nothin'...

Grrr... I hope all this fuss is worth it once I find it. [:D]

Thanks JonJ, that is exactly it. You are the man! I'm glad I came back to check in.[:D]

I haven't heard that song since 1987 or 1988. I could never find the tape from my radio recording. It's amazing that it actually got played on the radio. Those days are long gone with so much censorship.

I also can't believe how much of it I remembered, but I guess it's a memorable song, especially when porn sounds weren't readily available back then.[:p] She kind of sounds like Kathleen Turner.

The sound quality is acceptable. Can you post it somewhere?

Thanks ZT, it's good to have this track again. Yet another great thing about the 80s.

Radio stations are pussies these days. This track would never survive uncensored airplay except on Sirius satellite radio or streaming online.
