Untouchables' Wild Child extended bonus tracks

Untouchables' Wild Child extended bonus tracks

Did anyone have the opportunity to pick up this 2002 release. It would seem to be THE great master compendium for any Untouchable fan. It has every Stiff Records track they ever recorded.

Upon listening to it though, I feel like I'm hearing every track through a pair of huge ear mufflers. There's none of the edge that my original vinyl has at all, even accounting for mp3 conversion of each. They almost sound like different recordings except they aren't - exact lengths and measures. Anyone know more about this release? I still like it...I never complain about actually having my old vinyl available in an infinitely more convenient format. But still, it's very dull.

PS. I hope Rubellan, Spaz or any of our other guru's weren't the restorers. If so, no offense!

Yes. And I'm not just talking "a little" difference - I swear I'm rarely picky about these things. Listen to Free Yourself, first the CD then the Vinyl version...

How does it compare with the early '90s Disky CD release?
