Clash Singles Boxset

Clash Singles Boxset

Postby korova1 » Mon Jul 31, 2006 1:58 am

A buddy told me about this. Don't have a date yet.

Like Simple Minds and the rest of the gang, Legacy/Columbia/Epic is planning a singles boxset similar to the others that have been released in the past few years (DD, Madness, Stranglers, etc.). Expect Dub versions, dance mixes, single versions, live tracks, and all the b-sides for each single the band released.

Nice if you are a Clash fan. Now we can toss the bootlegs!

The box features 19 singles from "White Riot" to "This is England" and has every b-side from at least four different countries.

So, for example, it will have the "London Calling" single with the UK b-side(s) plus any other b-side from an American, Spanish or Dutch pressing. So, if there was a U.S. promo 12" single that had even just an album track on the b-side, it will be there. If the Spanish single had a different b-side, it will be there.

Only a few of the singles have 2 tracks (A & B). Most have 4 or more.
