OMD Documentary

OMD Documentary

Postby DreamRedux » Wed Jul 25, 2007 10:49 am

Hi, Newbie here.

I decided to put this post here because of the interest I saw in OMD in the Architecture & Morality reissue thread.

As you may be aware, an OMD documentary named Souvenir has been shot by film maker Rob Finighan on his own time and at his own expense. 3000 copies will be made of this full-length version, and the pre-order begins on August 1. General release is September 1.

Here is the Souvenir site, which includes some most excellent clips:

Anyone may register their interest by sending an e-mail to
info@aspect-tv.com

Rob's myspace site:

For anyone wondering what Rob's day job is, here's the link:

I am in no way affiliated with the band or Rob, but this ain't an entirely altruistic endeavor, either. I live in California, and when I asked Aspect if the DVD will be coded REGION FREE (Region Zero), the response I received was, "We are currently assessing the demand in regions beyond Europe and will keep you up to date with the latest information."

Um, since they are only promoting the DVD on the OMD fan website and the shows OMD played IN EUROPE, I'm not sure how people "beyond Europe" are supposed to know about it! And I just bought myself a new DVD player recently and can't afford to shell out more cash for a new one. (It might be a stretch to buy the DVD itself.)

Sorry if this message seems spammish, but I decided the worse that could happen is . . . nothing, and that is exactly what I'm going to get if I did nothing.

So, if you're interested in OMD, pick up this documentary, wherever you are in the world! [8D]

Thanks for reading,
DreamR [:X]
