I wonder how this will differ from the 1999 Best of. If anyone has a track listing, please post.

It looks like the "new" "The Best Of Yaz" is indeed just a re-issue of the 1999 package. The tracklisting I've seen is indentical. I wonder if Mute is planning 5.1 surround remasters of "Upstairs At Eric's" and "You & Me Both"?? Two of the most critical albums in electronic music history - they must be resurrected!!!!

They could do some cool shit with 'I Before E ...' in surround.

Oh big time! And "In My Room" which is the first Yaz(oo) song I ever heard and went CRAZY over. Was pleasantly surprised to learn a few days later (after buying both albums in the same shopping trip) that it was Vince Clarke from Depeche Mode and Erasure [:D] I think it was 1987. I remember initially thinking that Vince Clarke must be the singer because I thought Alison's voice and Andy's voice were so similar hehehe. Funny how confusing this music stuff can be when you jump into it a few years into the ride....

I finally figured out what this is. Rhino has an ongoing series called "Greatest Hits" where they re-package older best-of CDs with a new "o-card" around the jewel box that has their standardized "Greatest Hits" logo (similar to Universal's "Millennium Collection" series.) The original artwork will remain intact; this is just a paper sleeve that gets wrapped around the jewel box as a marketing angle. They have to cut the title out for a short while, then reissue it (always at a lower price, which is $11.98 list.) Sometimes, they have to issue a new bar code and selection number when this happens. They only do this to relaunch the title(s) to retailers; several titles will be reintroduced at once. This allows retailers to display all of the titles with this packaging in their stores together for sales events; it makes a better impression when a store can feature a bunch of these together with similar packaging.

Sometimes, they'll introduce new titles as well, with this same o-card around them.
