ELEVEN POND - Bas Relief

ELEVEN POND - Bas Relief

really great stuff, reminds me a lot of old FACTORY style bands...

NOW AVAILABLE FOR ORDER

Please go to www.darkentriesrecords.com/shop to order.

Finally, the debut release on Dark Entries Records is here.

DE-001 Eleven Pond "Bas Relief" LP

Dark Entries Records is proud to announce the reissue of the debut album by Eleven Pond. Long sought after by collectors, the Rochester, NY band only released a single LP in their time together before dissolving into obscurity. Their sound--a merging of post punk's dark dance and synthpop's melodic arrangements--reflected the originality of gifted songwriters who met in art school with a shared interest in 4AD and Factory Records.

In cooperation with the band members, the entire album has been remastered from the original 2-track analogue masters by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley.

The recordings on this release comprise the band's entire recorded output and the LP includes an original insert including photos, lyrics and liner notes.

Eleven Pond officially parted ways in 1987 but nearly a quarter-century later these recordings prove how vital they remain.

Questions, distros, cash or money orders, etc.

Yes it is excellent, but it's another retarded minimal synth-style re-issue with, omg, STICKERS.

I wish this was a CD release from tape masters.

I already have the mint LP converted to CD and it is pretty quiet from start to finish. I was hoping it was finally going to get the CD treatment.

I know many are pleased with vinyl re-issue, I just personally would have jumped at the chance to get this on CD (as long as not from vinyl).

I wish this was a digital release as well. I haven't had a turntable for years and would love to replace the scratchy version which I have now. Obviously there are digital versions of these songs available or there would be no sound samples on the Dark Entries site. If anyone ever hears of a CD release or digital download option please post here.

I'm in the process of getting the digital files from the remastering session of the original master tapes. The remastered songs are louder and less muddled than the original pressing which was poorly mastered and pressed cheaply in Canada with crackles and pops on each copy.

The songs will be available on iTunes, Myspace, Amazon and the Dark Entries website as well.

Thanks for your support and stay tuned...

I just got my copy of this reissue, #214/500. I used to own an original copy of this and sold it on Ebay for quite a sum two years ago. they have done an excellent job with the artwork and overall package. well done for your first reissue.
