Rhino UK 5cd boxsets, reissues

Rhino UK 5cd boxsets, reissues

There's a big list of artists who will be getting reissued as five album boxsets on March 1st, in the UK.

But before you get overly excited, it seems that Rhino is doing a Sony, and these will be non-remastered CDs (regardless of whether or not remasters have been individually released).

But if you're into the cardboard slipcases, then these are for you [:p].

Artists include:
Aztec Camera
Cars, the
Echo and the Bunnymen
Jesus and Mary Chain, the
Pogues, the
Pretenders
Sisters of Mercy, the
+ lots more, like Aretha Franklin, etc.

Just visit http://www.amazon.co.uk and do a search for "original album series". 15UKP for each boxset.

Kinda dumb to do these 2 as they already released 2-3 disc box sets f them in the last 1-2 years? How much more SOM stuff is there that wasn't on the box set, or any of the other remasters? Same for Echo.....I have all of their early remasters, their box set, their GH/BO, and then that 3 disc UK box set that cost me like 40 bucks, that was cool, despite having the same stuff their long box box set had on it.

pretenders already got on remaster with extras, so seems a bit silly to issue them again with nothing extra on them......and the same with Echo..........

That Aztec Camera box is seriously taking the piss by not including Love. Looking at the Echo And The Bunnymen one they aren't even the remasters. Anybody planning on buying these i would advise you to check the back cover and don't just go by Amazons tracklisting cause a few of them are wrong.
