That certainly fills in the gaps (and more). However, although I realise it was a FB3 track, my question is to ask if the 12" of It ain't what you do has been on CD?

Disappointing. Not enough pre-1986 material. I might have to cancel my order.

A lot of Nathan Jones on this cd?

Is it worth buying for a fan of 80s music?

That tracklisting is pretty good, actually.
We may expect another mixes box-set. Don't know when. I heard a rumour. So I'm placing my hopes on it that it will contain 7" mixes and be more pre-1986 oriented.
Nothing has been lost.

I think it's a great track listing! The reissues of the first 3 albums were so packed with mixes and single mixes I can't imagine there is much left from those early years to put out. It wasn't like the late 80s and beyond when every single had 5 or more different mixes made. I do have many of these tracks on the original cd singles but it will be nice to have them gathered together on this compilation and if the sound quality is as good as the album reissues, they will likely sound better than ever as well. I will definitely be ordering this.

I'm in two minds about this. Didn't really care for much of the 1988-93 output.

Same here, only bought the first 3 deluxe editions. A look at the track listing above and my conclusions is: no more, it's enough for me.

I was afraid this was gonna look like this. I'll pass. Between my CD singles, comps, and reissues over the years most of this is already sitting in my collection and rarely gets played, anyway. Most of SAW's material is so interchangeable that owning every mix from them makes the one before it just sound identical. Although a fan of Bananarama, their SAW stuff isn't my favorite. I find the bulk SAW's output annoyingly repetitive and childish.

This CD is great! It's basically a re-issue of a non-released remix album, originally due in 1989, called 'The Greatest Remixes Collection'. Cruel Summer 89 would have led it, but when that only charted at #19, they decided not to bother. Hong Kong got a truncated version of it instead, which looked like this;

01 Cruel Summer 89 [Swing Beat Dub]
02 Megarama 89 [Full Length Version]
03 Help 89 [Extended Version]
04 Love In The First Degree [Jailers Mix]
05 I Heard A Rumour [Miami Mix]
07 I Want You Back [Extended European Mix]
08 Nathan Jones [Extended Version]
09 Love, Truth And Honesty [Dance Hall Version]
10 Venus [The Greatest Remix]

Other mixes done for it were I Heard A Rumour [Corporation Of Bananarama Mix] and the previously unreleased Shy Boy [88 Mix] and Na Na Hey Hey (Kiss Him Goodbye) [Acid Remix ’88], which both debut on this new compilation. But the main reason or this mopping up exercise was to satisfy the fans who were disappointed about certain remixes being absent from the WOW!-Pop Life era bonus material on the last remasters. So yes, lots of 1988-91 mixes which technically come from orphaned singles releases.

People complaining about a lack of pre-1986 material should note that there isn't much more of it to include! The remastered albums were very thorough. There are 10 tracks originally from pre-1986 here, 7 of those being unreleased too. I can't wait to hear the original 12" mixes of Venus, More Than Physical and A Trick Of The Night, not to mention the Jolley & Swain 12" of Ready Or Not! But if you want more, I don't think this is the last peel of the banana...

Thanks for clearing that out, anfunny!
I just wish that Edsel were more precise in their product description. The new compilation being a re-issue of the aforementioned "Greatest Remixes Collection" compilation really makes sense now. So seeing many post-1986 (re)mixes included on is no surprise at all. You made me look different at it now.
Sure, the first half of the '80s wasn't as strong for remixes as the second one, as the whole remix culture was at its beginning back then. But somehow I still believe there are some hidden gems from the Jolley/Swain period of theirs that yet have to be revealed. The last peel of the banana? No way!...

Cancelling orders, moaning again from people. Lol it's £12.99, THREE CD's full up and much previously unreleased and also much previously released on vinyl only. Don't buy = less chance of a follow-up release

I'm going to pick it up, but right now it's $30.99 on Amazon US, definitely going to wait that out, for a lower price.

Since Edsel has acquired the rights from London/Warners for all the Bananarama stuff , why don't they reissue Shakespear's Sister stuff since Siobhan is not doing it?

Sacred Heart was about to be re-issued by Cherry Pop 2 years back. It was literally all ready to go. Warners had licensed it to two parties without realising, one of which was Siobhan's "team", who didn't want Cherry Pop to do it, basically, as they were doing their own. So they couldn't. However, seeing as the team" in question has imploded, maybe it'll happen in the future?
