And do we believe that really will be the 7" mix of Night Train at last?

Any info about what label it will be? I already checked Cherry Red.
I never liked compilations that mix singles, album tracks, 12" mixes and new third party remixes. Do the label really think it will attract new buyers? Why can't they do a more interesting compilation, like all A-sides abd B-sides back-to-back, or all 12" mixes, etc. /JW

There is a brief interview in the latest issue of Record Collector with Steve which mentions it'll be out on Universal.

Well it's nice that Universal release this, but like I said, to fans I think it would have been more interesting with a Complete Singles CD, with all A- and B-sides back to back: 1. In the Year 2525 (1978 single version) 2. Tar (1979 single version) 3. Frequency 7 4. Fade To Grey (single version) 5. The Steps 6. Mind of a Toy (single version) 7. We Move (original B-side version) 8. Visage (single remix) 9. Second Steps (full length) 10. The Damned Don't Cry (single version) 11. Motivation (full length) 12. Night Train 3.39 (single remix) 13. I'm Still Searching 14. Pleasure Boys (single version) 15. The Anvil (B-side remix) 16. Love Glove (single version) 17. She's a Machine 18. Beat Boy (single remix) 19. Beat Boy (Dub) 20. Fade To Grey (Bassheads 7" edit)

What would really be nice is the forgotton Strange Cruise project. Anyone remember that ? After Visage Steve recorded an album under that name. I dont think it was ever on cd.

Seems that idiots at Universal have put the album version of "Night Train" on instead of the much-wanted single... How many times will screw things up![}:)]

So while everything has been bitching about the Spandau Ballet remastering botch job, nobody's mentioned how fucked this CD is. I just got it, and found it suffers from MAJOR compression, as well as distortions on the high end due to the extreme volume. Oh, and the bass is thumpy and distorted as well. Why do I even bother purchasing this garbage anymore?:
