Notorious was Duran's most polished album. Can't wait.

Yeah ... an underrated album. I love American Science and Vertigo. Those two should have been the singles instead of Skin Trade and Meet El Presidente.

Damn, those guys blew it by not included the following two Mastermix remixes on CD:
American Science (Meltdown dub)
Vertigo (Do The Demolition) (B-boy mix)

They should have included these two, and excluded
Notorious (extended mix)
Skin Trade (Stretch mix)
since they've already been released in the CD singles boxset and Strange Behaviour,
or excluded
American Science (Chemical reaction mix)
which is on Strange Behaviour.

Notorious is my most favourite DD album besides the classic early period. A shame about the missing mixes already mentioned. The only thing which helps is that there is a DD fanclub release called Mastermixes which include these versions - and this cd has excellent quality. Nevertheless....

Still no mention on DD's website. I wonder if at the last minute they'll change release dates.

Yeah, the quality of the Mastermixes bootleg is great. I wonder how they managed that. Incredible how fans can do a better job than the big labels of getting stuff that people actually want out. EMI could have just bought the bootleg, ripped it, then released it.

Isn't that a given? [:)]

Does anyone remember the very rare Simon Le Bon solo single "Grey Lady Of The Sea" from 1985-86. Maybe that shouldve been included on the Notorious reissue.

All of the Duran Duran/Arcadia reissues <a href="http://www.slicingupeyeballs.com/2010/03/17/duran-duran-reissues-delayed-tracklists/">have been delayed</a> to various degrees.

After doing a track by track check, the ONLY reissue that has tracks not on the Duran Duran singles boxes (excluding demos and live tracks, which I have no use for) is the reissue of Big Thing, which has two remixes of the title track. So I'm definitely going to pass on all the other DD reissues that are coming. Those boxed sets alone cost me enough money, I don't need to duplicate those and my original CDs for no reason. We're just getting flooded with so many reissues I have to curb it unless there are truly 'first time' tracks appearing on CD.

That's good i will be downloading this and i hope EMI lose a fortune with these releases. I won't be buying either even though Big Thing is my favourite Duran Duran album after all that nonsense with the first two remasters. They were even publicly shamed in the newspapers and still refused to offer replacements. I have the vast majority of the stuff on these on the singles box sets anyway.
