The INXS catalog needs to be released immediately with all extended remixes and b-sides. Like seriously. NOW. There's no excuse, considering we've gotten U2, The Cure, Duran Duran, Thompson Twins, etc. The same goes for Howard Jones.

In no particular order:

The Smiths - remastered back catalogue (2CD Deluxe Editions)
Original Album + Period Tracks/Singles, etc, Complete Live Albums as second disc in some cases (Live at Oxford, Live at Irvine California 85, etc)

Psychedelic Furs - Mirror Moves - what's the delay here?

Sad Lovers & Giants - Les Annees Vertes, Headland, Treehouse Poetry, La Dolce Vita, Melting In the Fullness of Time

Comsat Angels - Chasing Shadows, Fire on the Moon - if Island doesn't care, licence them to someone who does (Renascent, Cherry Red)

Abecedarians - entire catalogue - I have asked label Words On Music (For Against, Lucy Show) to investigate this group as they fit their style

Depeche Mode - Back catalogue reissued w/B-sides, etc on CD (not the DVD format currently available)

Modern English - After The Snow (isn't it about time? Cherry Red or Wounded Bird perhaps?)

Naked Eyes - Burning Bridges/Naked Eyes, Fuel For the Fire - a Deluxe Edition 2-Cd set would take care of both in one release

Gang Of Four - Solid Gold/Another Day Another Dollar - only classic GoF CD not remastered

The Sound - Thunder Up - only available on PIAS Records, the only original album not remastered

The Sound - the entire back catalogue again - this time keep them in print for more than two minutes...

The Chameleons - Strange Times - Blue Apple Music is looking into this but licensing is a concern (Geffen)

Armoury Show - Waiting For the Floods - another blink and you missed it reissue the first time - this time expand it to include b-sides and non-album singles

The Go-Betweens - Friends Of Rachel Worth, Bright Yellow Orange, Oceans Apart all as deluxe 2-CD sets.

China Crisis - entire back catalogue, long overdue...come on EMI!

Public Image Ltd - this one is mind boggling, though the reunion & tour might bring this about in 2010

General Public - back catalogue long overdue

Best Of's/Retrospectives:

Killing Joke - 2CD/DVD set is long overdue here now that the remasters are complete
The Go-Betweens - 1CD/2CD +DVD set would be very welcomed
China Crisis - Sight & Sound CD/DVD release is in order to preface the remasters perhaps?
Real Life - a licensing mess, but long overdue
The Sound - I have a suggested track list if anyone wants to know
Comsat Angels - Multiple record labels the problem here, per Cherry Red communication, so it has/is being looked at

<br>My wishes:
Expanded Editions of the Malcolm Mclaren cds... Including the EP Swamp Thing on CD for first time, 12" versions.. etc

I also agree with alot of what others said.. Prince, Lone Justice

B-52's, not sure about what is up with that.. they have their back catalog at $7.00 listing. Makes you wonder, DEVO approached Rhino to release the last two Devo remasters.. the only 2 still in print in their catalog on WB. The others have been licensed to Collectibles, so I doubt the others will be remastered and expanded since they probably don't think they are popular enough.. but never say never.

INXS reissues.. I wrote to Rhino and asked about reissues of pre-Kick titles and they said they had no plans to do these in the near future. That was when the expanded editions came out. I guess those early albums are not worth it to them to expand.. its sad.

Scritti Politti.. I have wrote Virgin years ago asking for this.. I lost these cds in Katrina, the old cds couldnt handle the mold and disintergrated.

The issue with The B-52's is that Rhino holds US rights while Island holds Euro rights, and I believe Island owns the master tapes. I had heard there was a problem with Rhino trying to get tapes from Island in the past. "Cosmic Thing" was supposed to be reissued as a DVD-Audio in surround sound a few years back, but was never released. I believe they had planned reissues of the first 2 albums as well, but those were set right before management changed, and when the new guys took over, those old packages got lost.

That wasn't a problem for the recent Tom Tom Club reissue though...Warners owned the US rights, Island the UK/Europe.

Some already mentioned, but hey if the right person
is reading these posts!

ALL of The Sound albums

Armoury Show, with 12" versions

Blue In Heaven, with 12" versions

Chameleons - Strange Times (with Tony Fletcher e.p.)
I doubt this will happen because it's out on Geffen
still - the band was in major debt to them, so i'm
sure they're still trying to get it all back!

Sun and The Moon s/t with full e.p. and b-sides.

Jazz Butcher - ALL of them, especially Bloody Nonsense!

Colourfield - Both albums with the alt. versions.

Damn i feel greedy!

Where do you found out this info RE: Cherry Red? Their website isn't very insightful regarding future releases beyond the current month and the message boards are no help. Is there another source this info can be found?

I read it on the DREAMTIMEMIX blog because i was going to download it but it's no longer available because Update 12/21/09: I've been contacted by Paul Rodgers, who is writing the liner notes of a new re-issue of this album. It will be released on UK based label Cherry Red Records in March 2010. http://dreamtimemix.blogspot.com/search?q=colourfield

I think Suburban Lawns 1st LP, the Baby EP, the 1st single A and B side, and whatever else is lying around in the vaults are long overdue. Listening to my unofficial (but expertly done) CD with all 3 and it's glorious!
