"perhaps a video collection"

Honestly do not know what Virgin is waiting for. It wouldn't be a big seller but it would sell. Anyways, I'm sure OMD has made them a lot of money through the years, they can at least do this for all the fans and maybe as a tribute to one of the best 80's bands.

Label states a running time of 4:42.
The number imprinted in the run-out groove states VS580-12-A3.

So which version is it[?]

Why is it that OMD time seems so long? I can't wait for this to come out, then the Architecture & Morality Live DVD, then if they ever get to it, the video collection. Hope when they do decide to release it, they will include all the videos and not leave any out.

I waited forever on A+M, so waiting and waiting is what it'll take to get an OMD remastered meisterstueck... It takes them a long, long time, I think Andy McC. is a perfectionist...

What I find of interest so far from hearing the sound clips:

"Telegraph (The Manor Version 1981)" - Sounds like Andy is yelling more than singing, would need to hear more of the track, sounds different, the synths are more muted/background.

"Swiss Radio International" (added bonus track), like it's sister track "Radio Prague," is part of the albums concept to have numerous worldwide radio broadcast 'signatures' throughout the album tracks, kind of like the "Time Zones" collage of different countries recorded "Time" keeping call in numbers.

IICR, I think Andy was going through a radio/electronic phase, and using the speak 'n' spell to sound more like Kraftwerk's "Die Robator/The Robots" IMHO.

The Ideal Copy sent a note out in their latest newsletter stating that Caroline Records has asked them not to sell the U.K. release of the disc and to wait for the April 15th U.S. release. So, everyone who pre-ordered the disc from them has the option of a refund or waiting until the middle of April to receive the domestic release of the disc.

Amazon.com did the same thing -- they now list the delivery date as April 15th. They have it priced at $22.99. I canceled my pre-order with them and ordered the U.K. release directly from from Amazon.co.uk. Not only will it be delivered six weeks earlier, I actually paid about $1.50 less for it even after the crappy exchange rate (around $20.49).

Just an FYI.

Cheers,
Blake

Blake - THANK YOU FOR THIS. I HAVE CANCELLED MY AMAZON ORDER!

Stupid release shenanigans. [:(!]

Oh well. Now maybe I can get a signed one thru the OMD official website.
