Just some stuff I'd like to see "re-released":

The Plimsouls-Everywhere @ Once(somehow there has to be some extended mixes/b-sides off this?, if so, ADD THEM).

The ENTIRE Smiths back catalogue

Andy Taylor's-solo disc(w/Take It Easy)

Breathe's-All That Jazz(maybe a 2 disc w/vids?)

The next remasters from the Psychedelic Furs-As another poster said, that's it?

Peter Murphy-Deep(There's gotta be more stuff than that? his best album IMHO, why not include bsides/vids/extended's/etc?)

Aha-Hunting High And Low-(you can do soooooooo much with this)

The Flaming Mousolini's-Their first disc is cool, why not a re-release of this?

Freurs-Doot Doot

"Keepin the '80s alive!"

You'd think such a high-tech release would've got the proper remastering treatment by now. The existing CD issue sounds terribly flat.

Yes, another vote for that, and the follow up. I'm constantly amazed that there isn't one 'Best Of' (afaik) for such a popular artist (would like the Shabba & Sweetie irie tracks please!). Same goes for Neneh Cherry, why are Virgin/EMI slacking in this department?

Other titles I'd buy....

U2 - Unforgettable Fire (hopefully we'll see this next year, such a quietly recorded cd)

Joe Strummer - Earthquake Weather (I did hear rumours over a year ago that Rick Rubin (??) was remastering this)

Big Audio Dynamite - The first four lps

Sinead O'Connor - Lion & Cobra (another vote for this)

Julian Cope - Peggy Suicide (this was due last year, what happened?), My Nation Underground

Lloyd Cole & The Commotions - Easy Pieces & Mainstream

Duran Duran - Big Thing (very under-rated)

Arcadia - So Red The Rose

Lone Justice - Both albums

The Smiths - Rest of catalogue.....

Sam Brown - Stop & April Moon

All About Eve - First two albums....

Frankie Goes To Hollywood - Welcome To The Pleasuredome

James - Stutter & Strip Mine

The Mighty Wah! - All the releases promised in the booklet of 'Handy Wah! Whole' in 2000!

We've Got A Fuzzbox - Bostin' Steve Austin

Human League - Hysteria

Blur - Modern Life Is Rubbish (their best album, imo)

Kate Bush - Everything.....

"this is big audio dynamite" 2 cd edition coming out in september. bsides, extended, the usual.

"welcome to the pleasuredome"- hasn't this been remastered and re-released to death? like in 2000? 2003? 2005? every year since forever? ztt flogs and flogs it.

"hysteria" was remastered in 2005, with the bsides, extendeds, etc.

Fantastic news about 'This Is BAD' if true, where did you hear this? Love the album as much as I do, I can't think there's enough extra stuff for a second disc. Hopefully will be priced well.

No, Hysteria didn't get the remastered treatment, certainly not in the UK at least. The HL titles that did, had new catalogue numbers with an 'r' added to the prefix. The only version available UK is the bog standard one with no extra tracks.

Thanks for the info about Frankie, will have to go back & check these out. I was hoping for two disc edition though, with the mixes from the time, or even better than that, one including all the Radio 1 sessions from the time.

Don't forget BOOM BOOM ROOM "Stretch" - very rare release on CD (I've got it [:D]). I know many music fans who want it for the big money. I saw price on Ebay 400 euro from German seller.

there was a post here in this forum about the b.a.d.- but if you googled "this is big audio dynamite -legacy edition" you would get something more up to date. i'm not sure there is a track list yet though. it's out in september.

i assumed the "hysteria" reissue was uk, but i looked at mine and sure enough it's caroline records, here in the u.s.- they also did "crash" and the "love and dancing/dare" combo. and p.s. the "fascination" e.p. is up on itunes with the dub of "i love you too much" as a bonus. thrilling for me. anyway, the "hysteria" sounds great, and the bonuses are: "thirteen" "world tonight" and the extendeds of "lebanon" "life on your own" and "sign"...

as for frankie, i have seen a remastered version of pleasuredome with a black (!) cover in addition to the other versions on cd in the last 8 or 9 years. the bonuses were some of those dopey b-sides with the band talking about sex or christmas or whatever. boo.

ztt put out a great 12" collection of frankie stuff a few years ago, with some hard to find stuff on it called "twelve inches"- and there are versions on the german release of this not on the international one. great stuff.

Decent editions of the B-52's Island albums - mopping up b-sides / edits / remixes and all the various versions of the Mesopotamia tracks, "Don't Worry" etc

I would get my skates on if i were you regarding the remaster of Hysteria as it's saying on Amazon.com This item has been discontinued by the manufacturer. You can buy it in the used or new section for $20 but i can imagine the price will soon soar like Listen by AFOS did.Incedentelly i bought the remaster when it came out from HMV and mines is on caroline as well but it didn't say it was an import when i bought it so it must have been avaliable in the UK to start with.
