Gee, I don't even have enough posts to be worthy of eight6 threatening me with a boot to the ass. How will I ever work my way up to almost 4,000 posts? Oh, of course. I can just endlessly post away in laughable attempts to bully everyone who doesn't share my narrow notions of what truly constitutes New Wave. That kind of cool behavior has to really pay off.

You're thinking of Georgie Rockwood, who has threatened to insert the Canadian flag into the rectum of NWO members. Eight 6 has never threatened violence towards anyone as far as I know.

Or, as an alternative, you can continue to defend NWO's witless, intellectually bereft wannabes. That should cause your post total to skyrocket in no time.

Again, speaking without background knowledge/board history marks you as a total buffoon. Congratulations, most don't achieve that lofty plateau until at least 100 posts; you're way ahead of the curve.

Thanks Schwenko! I think the closest I got to a threatening act here at NWO was when I posted those AFTC tracks. Again, my apologies to members who continue to be afflicted by those earworms.

Hey UnionAve, threatening idiots with physical violence is definitely not eight6's style. That used to be my job but then the board got so overrun with them that it got to be like playing whack-a-mole and I kinda lost interest. As far as I know, we don't currently have any idiot-threateners. You're safe. An idiot - but safe.

I'm sure that most people following this thread have the reading comprehension to remember eight6's truly manly declaration of how badly he wanted to kick Georgie's ass. It can't be more than ten postings down from the start of this thread. And if you like manly macho bluster about who's truly New Wave and who isn't...well, then eight6 has plenty more to offer all over this site. Honestly, he's just fierce.

They also have the intelligence to recognize my brand of sarcastic, pitchfork prodding, dare I say, humor. Something that apparently escapes you.

One thing for sure, if it's been committed to vinyl, CD, or tape, georgie thinks it's New Wave. As for you, you obviously want to subordinate yourself behind the board moron...enjoy the view.

So a blustery declaration of macho intent, in that typical eight6 style, suddenly becomes mere sarcasm and prodding. Don't worry, eight6, you're safe here in your New Wave CyberKingdom. Nobody's going to actually call you out on your big bad brawling postings. What I like best about this thread is how it began with understanding the history of New Wave (anyone remember Rick Nelson?), and turned into eight6 lecturing me about how I don't understand the history of the New Wave Outpost...which matters far more to eight6 than the actual music, or the interest that anyone else here has in the genre. Maybe the poor dear just didn't get enough respect in the nightclubs back then.

Nothing like running out of material half way through, is there? You keep working on converting the masses...I'm sure you'll be wildly successful.

In the meantime, I'm going to check out some Rick Nelson...progenitor of New Wave.

The guy edited his post, and still couldn't come up with anything better than pretending that anyone here called Rick Nelson a progenitor of New Wave. Stay out of eight6's way, folks. He's probably now all blustery and ready to knock some 10th graders' lunch trays right out of their hands.

Hi there...

I'm Wayne Waukena...been around here for quite sometime before I got in a little trouble and had to take some time off in a hospital to get fluid outta my broken brain...gone over 2 months...

Tonight I think I might have to go back from laughing so hard at this thread...

Union Ave, welcome dude, this place hasn't had anybody stand up to these bullys since, well, me...

There is a place here for talents such as Rick Springfield and David Hasselhoff. I'd go so far as to throw Samantha Fox in there too...she had a good voice (and a nice little bod, heh heh heh). So don't take any crap from these schoolyard bullies. They're probably not even real Americans!

(God Loves George Bush!!!!)

Eight6 is just jealous of you because he has to pay $23 a gallon for gas...

Keep rockin in the freeworld dude!

<br>We also have a forum for News and CD Reissues. At least two registered members here were very interested in getting news of this Rick Nelson reissue. If you wish to have our New Wave membership cards revoked, then go report us to the principal.
[/quote]

No one wants to revoke your NW Membership card. We are just going to take great pleasure in pointing out what an ass-eel you are.

Now excuse me, I have to call my local New Wave radio station and sequester some Rick Nelson.

Considering this deep thinker's misuse of the word "sequester," I'm comfortable in assuming that he believes "ass-eel" to be another way of calling me a brilliant dinner companion. You know, you're not going to learn anything if eight6 lets you cheat off his exam.

um...dude...ya know how much I love to see you stand up to these small town bullies, but you're off with the 'sequester' reference...dictionary.com...

http://www.answers.com/sequester&r=67

I think in his own backwards mind he meant it as he'd call the local station and have it saved for him. He should have used 'requested' since that was what he obviously meant. But 'sequester' is gramatically acceptable.
