rick nelson "intakes" released on cd

Postby n/a20 » Wed Apr 18, 2007 2:11 pm

Yeah, I'm always calling up radio stations and asking them "to remove or withdraw" a song for me. My lawyer also calls up radio stations to ask them to "requisition and confiscate" a few hot tunes. If that poor soul was really trying to "request" a song (and didn't just bungle his attempt at using a big word), then he should ask the New Wave station to play Rick Nelson's "Back To Schooldays."

LOL!!! [:D][:D] Had you been here for any length of time (as eight6 alluded to), you would immediately recognize the joke. Instead, since you are wise in oh so many ways, you have now earned tiger's other reference! Perfect!

LOL (as you would say) you are a grown man who's giggling in happiness at your keen use of the Special Decoder Ring you've earned as part of the New Wave Honor Society in your very special clique. It shouldn't be too difficult to find out that I've been registered here for a while. I'm not particulary interested in the consequences of having ignored this forum's nerdiest members. So far, the biggest inside joke seems to be the likes of yourself and eight6. Congratulations.

You're on the inside? Of what? The GG? Who slipped and gave you the secret handshake?

Hey, hang around, georgie was getting stale anyway. Some of us have a lottery going to see just how many feet you can get into your mouth. Judging by your post record to date, I'd say nobody has picked high enough.

Looks like eight6 is pulling out the heavy weaponary: ridicule from a grown man who's eager to prove that only he can declare who's a really, truly, actual respected member of the New Wave Outpost. I'd be more interested if eight6 could actually discuss New Wave music...specifically, why a reissued CD that includes music from the Nu-Disc series (with a pretty rare ChinniChap song) doesn't warrant mention on the New Wave Outpost that he so thoughfully rules mercilessly as a freelance moderator.

He's never made the declaration that he has final authority. But he's a pretty good judge of who is a retard in need of a good scolding.

Pretty bold words for someone who has been here - what - all of an hour?

I do know this - Motors is the official authority on who is an ass-eel. I'll see if I can get your paperwork fast-tracked, cuz you've provided more than ample evidence that you are one.

Feel free to out yourself (and others) as the kind of nerdy internet denizen who prides himself on being (or associating with) those who can seek out really uncool posters in need a good scolding. But you know what would be really great? If you could also discuss new-wave music. Many here are more interested in the genre than in using the NWO as a substitute for a social life.

Again, pretty tall talk from a schlep whose only interest in this place to date has been in trying to unload some excess CDs.

Gee, Tiger (along with his clubhouse pals) is such an elite member of the New Wave Hierarchy that he actually knows the super-secret ultra-sensitive true purpose of the Marketplace forums. It obviously doesn't have anything to do with getting music into the hands of people who like new-wave music. Maybe it solely exists so that Tiger (along with his clubhouse pals) can be an elite member of the New Wave Hierarchy who actually knows the super-secret ultra-sensitive true purpose of the Marketplace forums.

Ridicule, or astute observation?

Merciless mod...you must mean Blir during his short lived reign of terror.

As for music: I've discussed it, posted it, and supplied other members here with both CD and vinyl copies of many rare items. What have you done in your time here? You heven't discussed anything but me (good topic BTW) in your time here. Perhaps that can be your contribution to NWO...that, and a barrel of good belly laughs so far.

The concept will be foreign to eight6, but others reading this thread have probably noticed that I only post at the NWO when I have something to contribute...which has mainly been info on CD reissues, and (as Tiger has exposed) listing a bunch of new import CDs that I was offering to people who actually care about new-wave music. This is all news to eight6, of course, because he only reads his own posts...and, of course, the posts of lesser mortals that he has solemnly sworn to blacklist in the name of keeping NWO the one place in the world where he is feared as the true manly man that he would be if only the real world wasn't so frightening.

No doubt, your contributions so far will go down in NWO lore as some of the most inane ever offered up for consumption.

I do tend to be in some of the more colorful threads here...occupational hazard I guess. I think you're just jealous... get over it.

We can be confident that eight6 never gets to talk about people being jealous of him in the real world. For the purposes of the NWO forum, though, let's see if he'll address an actual topic: specifically, why does he (and his merry men) feel the need to mock somebody who's posted about a CD that, as noted, reissues rare songs from the new-wavish Nu-Disc series?

Or maybe he'll just talk some more about how he's so terribly important to the NWO. It can't be a desperate need to make it up to 4,000 posts, can it? Is that some kind of milestone where lightning flashes and he becomes immortal and gets to take sword lessons from Sean Connery?

You've been making that point, not me. I contribute...unlike you or your Jugheaded charge who you feel the need to protect, just like a mother hen protecting her chick.

I really don't pay attention to post counters...they serve no real purpose, other than to serve as a milestone for how quickly one can make an ass of themselves.

Now, before somebody else feels the need to ask for this shit to be taken off line, get your last post in (complete with another searing shot) and show some board respect and send me an e-mail.
