well ... there were various different versions / (re)mixes of "true faith" of course - spread over a variety of releases throughout the years , but i mean this version : http://www.discogs.com/release/12685 !
sorry for not being more specific here before !

That's not an extended version that is just the album version on that 12 inch. The shep pettibone mix has already been released on the rest of New Order and on the 1963 cd single. Be great to have True Dub on cd for the first time though for more details look here http://www.niagara.edu/neworder/ for a complete discography.

well ... it's as much an "extended version" as the 12" version of ( almost ) every other single by new order that was shortened / edited for the 7" single release - like in the case of "true faith" too ! [;)]

of course u could argue that it's NOT specifically "extended" for the 12" , but simply the ORIGINAL FULL LENGTH VERSION of the song then , which is indeed true !

There were two True Faith 12"es released in 1987 (one before Substance, and the other, after), both with different versions. So which version is it going to be?

You can't assume that's it's going to be the FAC183 version and not FAC183R, although I do think that you can rule out the remixes from later years.

of course i can assume that , but nobody has to believe me ... until it's released jus' like i've said ! [:D]

however ... my bet is on the original version & not on the above mentioned remix ! [;)]

I agree. I think it's going to be the original version, as well, but still ...

As much as i'm a little dissapointed about the tracklistings on these i will be buying them. Mainly because my Substance has started going that horrible browny colour and bits are starting to fall of the cds. As far as which mix of True Faith it is i'm not bothered as i have the shep pettibone mix on The Rest Of and the 1963 CD Single

State of the Nation appears on both Low-Life and Brotherhood? Or is one supposed to be Shame of the Nation?

I wonder what Confusion Alt Version is. The Substance 1987 version?

30th September according to Amazon.com. Looking at prices they look very steep $41.49. The prices here in the UK are £14.99 but hopefully they will go down. I noticed they are selling the 808 State double remasters for £6.99 each at HMV now there's a bargain.

Thanks for the 808 State info. Ordered a couple right away. Great group. I guess they have a couple of New Order connections! Shame they didn't collaborate more.

Hmm, at that price, I may opt for the download option. Hopefully, they'll distribute them domestically in Canada and it will be cheaper.

When you see Thompson Twins, 808 State, and (the one) Blancmange (album) two disc reissues setting the bar at around £6.99, you're not encourage to pay much more.
