Then of course there is the entire Prince catalog which will probably never see the light of day.

actually, Iggy's Blah Blah Blah was just re-released last year with no extras, but "The Complete A&M Recordings" boxed set from 2006 has the entire album plus all the 12" mixes as bonus tracks.

new order - republic and corrected remasters of the 5 reissues from last fall to actually materialize
cure - concert, disintegration, wish and all the original remixes they did in the '80s.
siouxsie - remaining catalog
english beat - a decent 2 or 3 disc comp of all of the tracks they neglected to include on the reissues from about 10 years ago
red lorry yellow lorry - nothing wrong and blow
psych furs - mirror moves
a flock of seagulls - debut

Excellent List my friend. Not to mention others have have listed:

Arcadia,FGTH, Gleaming Spires, and so forth.

ALL of these need a proper re-release(release) of some sort. Lets keep our fingers crossed gang.

I thought the New Order (fixed) 2 disc sets were already done, and ready to go out?

I could swear I read that Johnny Marr was personally involved w/the Smiths back catalogue re-releases? They're ALL supposed to be 2 disc sets, if I remember right.

Duran Duran-Big Thing re-release is lonnnnngggggg overdue.[:D]

Some REALLY good suggestions above. I would desperately love to hear:

This Island Earth - The Unreleased Album + all 12" mixes/b-sides (though I think this one really is wishful thinking/a pipe dream of the highest order!)

Leisure Process - The Collection (properly compiled, from the master tapes etc etc...). Wasn't there talk of something a year or two ago?

You've got to have dreams eh?[;)]

He certainly was, but I'm fairly sure no (public) comment has been made as to what might happen with the albums. The Singles Vol.1 boxset does (IIRC) make mention of a Vol.2, but haven't heard any more about that either. I'm doubtful there'd be enough to fill second discs for all of them, without making use of some of the rare stuff that Mike Joyce is holding, and we all know how well HE gets on with Morrissey....;)

This year being the 25th anniversary of The Smiths debut album, I'm worried they're going to miss a fantastic opportunity to get them out.

Another item unlikely to ever see the light of day, especially after a missed opportunity of re-releasing 'Candleland' & 'Mysterio', is Ian McCulloch's wonderful version of 'September Song' (& it's b-side).
