Bjork box set

Eccentric singer Bjork is set to release a singles box set which will include every single, mix, White label, and test pressing she has released.

The collection will also feature obscure mixes and singles never released in some countries.

A statement posted on Bjork's official website reads: "Looks like some sort of itch is setting in, because for seven years, we have had plans to make a singles box set and guess what - that soup is being stirred again as it certainly looks like it is. The box set has gotten a confirmed final release for April!"

The box set release follows Bjork's 2002 Greatest Hits collection and her 2001 Vespertine LP.

Singles collection due in March


Three new Depeche Mode box sets collecting the band's recent singles will be released by Rhino Records on March 30th. The singles, B sides and alternate rarities on Singles Box 4, Singles Box 5 and Singles Box 6 span from 1987 to the present. Included are remixes by the likes of the Automator, Plastikman, Kruder and Dorfmeister, Underworld, and Bushwhacka.
Each box contains six discs, and typical of the breadth of the material is the fifth disc of Box 4, which features five different versions of "Personal Jesus" and two of "Dangerous."

Singles Box 1, Singles Box 2 and Singles Box 3 -- collections originally released in 1998, featuring the band's early material -- will be re-released on the same day.

The members of Depeche Mode focused on individual interests in 2003, with keyboardist/songwriter Martin Gore and singer David Gahan each releasing solo albums and touring separately. Gore is looking forward to the band regrouping to record its eleventh album, and thinks the time apart could pay dividends. "Straight after [Gore's first solo effort] Counterfeit, we made [1990's] Violator," he told Rolling Stone. "I think Violator's probably up there with our best album, so if I can do something like that again I'd be very happy."

Well its about time - for DM that is. 10 years since the last released box set? I only wish The PSB would do the same with their remixes instead of rehashing remixes in "limited edition" album format.
