From the forthcoming PET SHOP BOYS album, Fundamental, I offer you all "Integral", courtesy of our very own and valuable Schwenko.

Thanks Schwenk [8D]

Soaring synths, an anthemic chorus, a kicking house type beat and some robo vox - This track OWNS. I wonder if this is one of the ones that Trevor Horn produced. I foresee a most rousing live rendition of this song on the *hopefully (probably) upcoming* support tour.

Synthpopfan: I believe the box set was originally posted as an April Fool's joke. I don't think it will actually be released.

From a Staurt Price interview, producer of Madonna's last album, "Confessions On A Dancefloor".....

"So it's fair to say that Madonna wouldn't be where she is today without the Pet Shop Boys?

She really loves them as well. Because they worked with Bobby Orlando in New York really early on, and I'm guessing she would've been around there at that same period. So I think there's a huge kind of cross-over there. It's funny because when we were doing 'Jump' I didn't think she'd know who the Pet Shop Boys were but she was the one who was screaming 'Pet Shop Boys! I fucking love them!'"

I was actually thinking in my head of how to save up $200 as I was reading that original post. [:D] I love the Pet Shop Boys. My number 2 band of all times.

A longer version of the documentary is planned for DVD release in the autumn.

Hubert Kah is number one. [:)]

My top ten:

1) Hubert Kah
2) The Pet Shop Boys
3) Boytronic
4) Alphaville
5) OMD
6) A-ha
7) Clan of Xymox
8) Camouflage
9) Talk Talk
10) Depeche Mode

Major criteria for me, three solid albums from start to finish. This knock out a lot of the bands. New Order is in the Top 20. B-Movie which has two top 5 tracks on my all time favorite songs did not make it because of this.

Excellent list Sean. I have to say though, I don't really know Hubert Kah. Or maybe they're one of those artists who's music I'll recognize but just did'nt know their name. Can you suggest one or two of their best albums for me?

The two albums to get are "Tensongs" and "Sound Of My Heart". Goldenen Zeiten is good too but it's in German. This is the album that has Angel 07 and The Picture on it. I recommend this one too but get the other two first. The easiest one to get should be "Sound Of My Heart". You can also get the "Best of Dance Hits" as a best of for like pennies at most on-line stores. Finally, once you've gotten in to Hubert Kah, go for the self-titled album from 1996. It's the most mature album you will ever hear and contains the hit "C'est La Vie". If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

By the way, the newest Retro:Active, vol. 5, contains the English extended version of "The Picture" which has never been on cd before and have been on everyone's want list for years.
