The title is "And What Have You Done With My Body, God?", and aside from a few things that were available on the amplified.com custom-cd a few years ago, it's pretty much all unreleased. It even looks like they might be including the Rybczynski version of the "Close (To The Edit)" video, which TCH was supposed to have written off. Amazing! CDUniverse.com says it'll be out August 8.

Ever since I first heard about this, I have been SO EXCITED that it's a near-impossibility to keep me from wetting myself. I am THAT EXCITED about this!

"Legs" is a post-Trevor Horn song, and was their first single under their deal with China Records (Trevor owns ZTT). I agree that a box set combining both the ZTT and China music would be better, but this upcoming box is only covering their ZTT work.

I'm getting discouraged that the In Visible Silence through the In No Sense eras will not see a thorough remastering/repackaging release such as the 1984-85 era Art of Noise stuff. It would be nice if Warner would bite the bullet and put this stuff out already.
Although I am eagerly awaiting this box set issue, I think that there's more in AoN's catalogue than Who's Afraid and Into Battle stuff. I mean, you can only re-release Who's Afraid so many times...

3 CD's of Art of Noise demos is probably a bit overkill, but should be interesting anyway..
What I'd really like to see though is The Value of Entertainment reissued on DVD. And maybe rarities like Anne Pigalle and Instinct reissued on CD.

Unfortunately, Warner doesn't own or control this material. They only distribute a few of the releases in the US. It's up to China Records to reissue this stuff.
I'd like them all remastered as well, along with a DVD of the videos from the China years.

I am thrilled for this box set to come out!!! The original incarnation of the Art of Noise was always my favorite. Having Paul Morley, the brilliant music writer involved with Trevor Horn and Company was inspired. Morley gave the band its mystique and enigma. When some of the band broke away, they left all the mystery and experimentation behind. I must admit that I did enjoy some of their later releases, but I missed the whole "avante garde" persona of the old AON. Even their videos weren't as cutting edge like the past. Hey, if they can capture this original zeitgeist of the band with this release, I'm all for it. I can't wait to see how Paul Morley will create the mystery all over again!!!
Speaking of the phenomenal Paul Morley, please check out his beyond brilliant "Words And Music: A History Of Pop In The Shape Of A City". It is without a doubt the most exquisite writing on popular music every commited to paper. All of you guys will get amazed reading Paul's prose!!!!
Have a nice day,
Jeffrey

That's going to be a bit difficult as, the last I heard, China was a 'dead label', bought by Warners but then done nothing with. Pointless purchase, then, if you ask me. Because I agree, there is a ton of stuff that can be done with the China era Art Of Noise (my personal favourite) back cat; a CD re-issue of Re-Works or even a full CD/DVD release of the whole '86 Hammersmith concert (that would be sweet!), a compilation of the 12"s throughout the AONs career, even alluding back to the ZTT years when, I think we can all agree, it went a bit mental. Thank God for this box-set which will solve some of that problem...
Which brings me back nicely to this release... I. SIMPLY. CANNOT. WAIT!!! This is some of the best news I've heard for ages! I am NOT a massive fan of the 'reform' AON (Morley's an arse in my opinion, boy gets in the way...) and, while my heart still beats for the early China years, there's nothing that captures exactly how creative this exciting production team were back in those formative days. And there's stuff on here I never knew existed! I thought I knew my AON but this is just amazing. From finding it was due on the 'net to buying on Play - two minutes. It really was a no-sell deal. Just get it mailed! Roll on August!

5. Moments In Love
6. Bright Noise
7. Flesh In Armour
8. Comes And Goes
