Icehouse will be releasing a new album, and Iva Davies new song: "Your God (Not Mine)" is a free mp3 download!

Official Website: http://www.icehouse-iva.com/

Your God (Not Mine) Download: http://www.icehouse-iva.com/bipolar06/

BTW: the mp3 is a complete song and a great sample of the new album!

I'm not sure if you mean it's just a sample of what is on the new cd, or a sample of part of the song, but that is a complete song Iva posted.

...and thanks for posting the link, the song is quite good.

About Icehouse, there is this album Meltdown that I had overlooked mainly because it's a remix of Icehouse songs by various artists. However, yesterday I listened to Hey Little Girl on my station and it's quite an interesting version although far from the original. So I decided to order it. The funny thing is that the album was reviewed by a guy based in Japan as it seems and this is what he wrote: "Hey little girl" isnt bad but quite often the one I skip a lot. Well since our tastes in music seem to differ, who knows, I might be skipping all the other tracks.[:D]

Meltdown is more a tribute to Icehouse than anything else since the songs are performed by various artists. Usually, I don't like that kind of stuff but as I said I like the version of Hey Little Girl...
Here are the tracks:
1. Don't Believe Anymore [Ivan & Collins Café Latte Mix]
2. Love in Motion
3. Hey Little Girl
4. Street Café
5. Cross the Border [Funk Corporation Sonic Assault Mix Edit]
6. Great Southern Land
7. Electric Blue
8. Lay Your Hands on Me (Icehouse vs. Speed of Light)
9. We Can Get Together
10. Can't Help Myself
11. Icehouse
12. Crazy
13. No Promises
14. Man of Colours

I will get that CD towards the end of November since it will transit through Japan before being handcarried to Manila.

Franciz - I picked up "Meltdown" when it came out. The songs are technically performed by Icehouse, but remixed and reworked by other DJ's. You're right, Hey Little Girl is pretty cool, along with a couple of others. But...be prepared for some pretty extreme electronic remixes, which can actually make the songs sound more dated than the originals (of course, I love the Icehouse originals!).

Actually, this is the sixth track Iva has released via the web from Bi-Polar Poems.

And he made available an excellent version of "Heaven On Their Minds" from "Jesus Christ Superstar" for some Australian event before that.

I hope this album still sounds like their early works.
