The 12" mix should have been based on the 7" rather than just an even more boring elongated version of the LP track. I thought the single mix was so good that I couldn't wait to hear the 12"...But was disappointed when I finally did hear it.

Posted: Tue Aug 21, 2007 1:53 pmDid anybody pick up the two-fer cd re-issue of their 2nd and 3rd albums a couple of years ago? It's on the Collectibles label and features slightly improved (or just louder?) sound, but doesn't sound like a true remaster to my ears.
Posted: Wed Aug 22, 2007 11:18 pmCollectibles does remaster their releases...
Posted: Sat Aug 25, 2007 2:02 pmCollector's Choice does, but Collectibles seems a little more hit and miss. I didn't think the Bananarama and Devo reissues from a few years ago were remasters...but I think you are right as far as the Dream Academy two-fer.
