Wow! Cure fans take note. Pretty cool if you like this sort of thing. All of the Cure's 80's studio albums are getting the meticulous Japanese MINI LP treatment. Starting with "Three Imaginary Boys" through "Disintegration" and also including "Japanese Whispers" comp. Best of all the over-looked "In Concert" is also coming out via MINI LP with the glossy artwork, innersleeve, plus the original running order with the entire "Curiosity" (from the cassette edition) added on as a bonus!!!! I know all of these found their way onto the 2 CD remasters, but it will be nice to have them all together as originally planned. Based on what I've seen with other Japanese MINI LP CD's the art will be beautiful... the way it should be done in the first place. I believe they are all coming out sometime in March. Stay tuned!!!!

Thanks for the news! Assuming they use all remastered tracks, it would be cool if they released the Standing On The Beach comp. as well.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that, Standing On A Beach is also in the list of MINI LP CD's to be released. Don't know if it will include the B-sides stuff like the cassette (like Concert will).

also, any chance/talk of them re-releasing(in 2 disc form like the others) "Disintegration"? I have them all but that one, and wonder why they haven't released it?

I believe they are supposed to release "Disintegration", "Wish" and the remainders in the years to come in 2 CD form. I always thought that was part of the plan. Since Disintegration and Wish were big sellers, I presume this will still happen in the UK/US. "Wish" isn't on the list of Japan MINI LP CD's.... for some reason it stops after Disintegration. Stay tuned.

Does the Japanese Whispers have the extended version of "Just One Kiss"?

I totally agree with Bigwavedave on the remastering of Standing On The Beach. That one really needs it. They also should release the rest of Cure videos on dvd too.
